Prerequisite

  • 1. Make sure you have installed PowerPoint 2007 or later with full features. You can use either 32 bit or 64 bit versions of PowerPoint.
  • 2. .Net Programmability Support.

    Make sure you have installed .Net Programmability Support for PowerPoint. To check if this is done please follow the following steps

    • In Control Panel, click Programs and Features.
    • In the Uninstall or change a program dialog box, select your installation of Office and click Change.
    • Select Add or Remove Features.
    • Click Continue.
    • In the Installation Options tab, click the '+' to expand the PowerPoint application.
    • Click the drop-down arrow adjacent to .NET Programmability Support and select Run from My Computer.
    • Click Continue.

  • 3. Visual Basic For Applications

    Make sure you have installed Visual Basic For Applications in Office Shared Features. To check if this is done please follow the following steps.

    • In Control Panel, click Programs and Features.
    • In the Uninstall or change a program dialog box, select your installation of Office and click Change.
    • Select Add or Remove Features.
    • Click Continue.
    • Click the drop-down arrow adjacent to Office Shared Features.
    • Select Run from My Computer.
    • Click Continue.

  • 4. .Net version 2.0 or higher.
    Make sure you have installed .Net version 2.0 or higher.

Note : Please note that the SDK will be installed even if these prerequisites are not met. But the above features are necessary for the SDK to run properly.
